JEE College Predictor

Enter your rank to see which institutes and branches actually admitted at that rank, based on official JoSAA final-round closing ranks through 2024. Every result shows the real numbers it was judged on — no hidden scoring.

Use your JEE Advanced rank for IITs and your JEE Main rank for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs — they are different rank lists.

Frequently asked questions

How does the JEE college predictor work?
It compares your rank against official JoSAA final-round closing ranks from the last three years. For each institute and branch it takes the toughest (lowest), typical (average) and easiest (highest) closing rank in that window. If your rank beats the toughest year it is marked Safe, if it beats the average it is Likely, and if it only beats the easiest year it is a Reach. The underlying numbers are shown next to every result.
Which rank should I enter — JEE Main or JEE Advanced?
Use your JEE Advanced rank when checking IITs, and your JEE Main rank for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. They are separate rank lists and are not interchangeable. Enter your category rank, not your percentile.
How accurate is a JEE college predictor?
This tool reports what actually happened in JoSAA seat allotment between 2016 and 2024 — it is historical fact, not a forecast. Real cutoffs move each year with paper difficulty, the seat matrix and applicant numbers, and a branch can shift by thousands of ranks in a single cycle. Treat a "Safe" result with a thin margin as thin, and confirm against JoSAA during counselling.
Is this college predictor free?
Yes, it is free and requires no sign-in. It covers every IIT and NIT plus IIITs and GFTIs participating in JoSAA counselling.
Why does selecting NITs with All India quota show no results?
IITs allot seats purely on an All India basis, while NITs, IIITs and GFTIs split their seats into Home State and Other State quotas. Selecting NITs together with All India quota therefore matches nothing — choose Home State, Other State, or Any quota instead.

How this works

For every institute and branch, we take the closing ranks from the last 3 JoSAA final rounds and compare your rank against the toughest (lowest), typical (average) and easiest(highest) of those years. Beat the toughest year and it's Safe; beat the average, Likely; beat only the easiest, Reach. Nothing is weighted or smoothed, and the numbers behind each verdict are in the table.

This is a look at what hashappened, not a forecast. Cutoffs move every year with paper difficulty, seat matrix and the number of applicants, and a branch can shift by thousands of ranks in one cycle. Treat a “Safe” result with a thin margin as exactly that — thin. Always confirm against JoSAA during counselling.

Data covers 20162024 final rounds. Rows showing fewer years than requested are usually new branches, or ones JoSAA renamed mid-period.
